ListLatch Privacy Policy

Summary: Your lists stay on your device and in your own private iCloud account. Rocket City Defense Solutions operates no app backend for ListLatch and receives none of your lists, tasks, notes, photos, voice, meals, or groceries. Features you choose may contact Apple, TheMealDB, or a recipe website; each case is described below.

What we collect

ListLatch sends no personal content to Rocket City Defense Solutions. The app contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking software and no third-party code libraries. It has no ListLatch account or sign-in. Optional Plus purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive your payment-card details.

Where your data lives

Your lists, tasks, photos, and notes are stored in encrypted app storage on your device.

If you turn on iCloud, your records and captured-list images sync through Apple's CloudKit to your own private iCloud database. Only you can access it. You can also save and restore a lightweight manual backup containing structured text and metadata; manual backup archives deliberately exclude captured images and imported files. ListLatch keeps at most five iCloud backup snapshots and prunes older ones automatically.

Records synced to your private database include your device's name, so you can tell your devices apart.

When ListLatch contacts the internet

ListLatch may make these connections when you use the related feature:

• iCloud sync and manual backup, to your own private database through Apple. Never to us.
• Recipe discovery. When you search the recipe catalog, your search words are sent to TheMealDB. TheMealDB and recipe-image hosts receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address. No ListLatch lists, tasks, notes, meals, or groceries are sent.
• Recipe link import. When you paste a recipe link and ask ListLatch to import the ingredients, your device requests that page directly from the website you chose, and may load the recipe's image from that site. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address to that website. ListLatch sends that site nothing about your lists, tasks, or notes.
• ListLatch Plus. The app contacts Apple's App Store services to load plans, purchase Plus, verify an entitlement, or restore purchases. Apple processes those transactions under Apple's privacy policy.

If you tap an external recipe or account-management link, it opens in your browser or the appropriate Apple app and is then governed by that service's policy.

Photos and text recognition

When you scan a paper list or import a screenshot, the photo is saved in encrypted app storage and the text is read using Apple's on-device Vision framework. The image and the recognized text do not leave your device except through your own iCloud sync.

Voice notes

Voice notes are transcribed entirely on your device, and the audio recording is never saved. If your device or language cannot do on-device recognition, ListLatch refuses to transcribe rather than sending your audio to a server.

Apple Intelligence

Where available and enabled by you, the app's writing helpers use Apple's on-device Foundation Models. Otherwise it uses simple local helpers.

Permissions

ListLatch asks for camera and photo access so you can capture and import lists, and microphone access for voice notes. Each is used only for the feature that needs it.

Purchases

ListLatch offers optional monthly and yearly Plus subscriptions and a Lifetime purchase. Apple processes payment and gives the app verified entitlement information so it can unlock Plus. We do not operate a purchase server and do not receive payment-card details. You can manage subscriptions in your Apple Account and use Restore Purchases inside ListLatch.

Accounts and deletion

ListLatch has no accounts and no sign-in. There is nothing for you to create and nothing for us to delete, because we never receive your data in the first place. Deleting the app removes its data from your device.

Backups

Your lists and captured photos live in the app's normal storage and are therefore included in your device's iCloud or computer backups, in addition to any iCloud sync you enable. Backups and your private CloudKit database are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, and erase personal data that a company holds about you. We hold none. We operate no servers that receive data from this app, so there is no record of you for us to produce, correct, or erase. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will investigate.

We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not process it for targeted advertising.

Changes to this policy

If we change what ListLatch does with your data, we will update this page and change the date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
